The conference cn the Tientsin dispute discussed today a demand by Japan for forfeiture of the Chinese silver bullion in the British concession The discussions were adjourned tc July 31 to allow consideration of the unsettled points. The Foreign Office spokesman said the conference was progressing smoothly in a friendly atmosphere.
