Wednesday, August 2, has been set down for the observance of Arbor Day throughout the Dominion. The Hon. W. E. Parry. Minister of Internal Affairs. appeals for recognition of the national importance of tree-planting. Local bodies throughout the Dominion arc requested to organise on August 2. Where, on account of unsuitable climatic conditions, these tree planting ceremonies cannot be observed, the Minister invites the local bodies affected to observe some pther suitable day in the month.
