DRUIDS’ LODGE

FORTNIGHTLY MEETING. The fortnightly meeting of the Druids’ Lodge was held in the Foresters' Hall last night, the A.D.. Bro N. Keightley, presiding over a fair attendance of members.

The half-yearly report and balance sheet was received from the auditors and placed before the lodge by the secretary. The position disclosed was very satisfactory. Several Brothers reported on a very enjoyable game of indoor bowls played against the Foresters' Lodge. It was decided to arrange a return game at an early date. A report was received on a recent meeting of the Friendly Societies’ Dispensary Board.

The delegates to the Friendly Societies’ Hospital Association reported □n a recent meeting held to consider various proposals submitted by the executive.

The secretary reported that 14 members had declared on the sick benefit of the lodge. Sick pay and accounts amounting to £2O 12s 8d were passed for payment. A social will be held at the conclusion of next lodge meeting.
