PERSONAL ITEMS (“Times-Age” Special.) Miss Betty Burden was a Wellington visitor to Martinborough at the weekend and was the guest of Mrs Nelson. Mr R. H. Nelson, of Wellington, spent the weekend in Martinborough. GOLF MATCH RESULTS IN A DRAW. The annual match between the Martinborough and Wairarapa clubs was played at’Rototawai and resulted in a drawn match, each club winning two games with one game halved. The results were as follow:—Harvey and W. Marsin lost to Bidwill and Rowles; S. Martin and Pike and Allen and Wilson all square; Perry and Baker lost to Fountain and O’Neil; Mobre and Rankine beat Bloxam and Lang; Wall and I. Martin beat Lawson and Pope. The best cards handed in after a medal handicap played on the local course were: —A. McWilliam, score 101. handicap 33, total 68; H. Griffiths, 85. 15, 70; A. Harding, 97, 23, 74; A. Caseley, 99, 22, 77. Concealed holes competition: Mrs Baker, score 49. handicap 11, total 38; Miss Harvey, 46, 6, 40; Mrs McConnell, 51, 9, 42; Mrs Parsons, 53, 11, 42. Truby King Memorial Fund.
The amount subscribed to the local Sir Truby King Memorial Fund now totals £24.
