In the House of Commons, replying to Commander O. R. Locker Lampson’s suggestion that the Thetis be left on the seabed as a permanent, buoyed memorial. Captain Austin Hudson said that so long as (here was a reasonable possibility of salving the vessel it would be generally agreed that operations should continue, so that the fullest information might be available regarding the cause of the accident.
