Week-end Hunt Club Meetings BURWOOD SCORES AT SOUTH CANTERBURY RANGITIKEI STEEPLES WON BY GLENVANE (BY “CARBINE.”) Racing over the weekend was confined to two hunt meetings, one in the North Island and one in the South. In the North the Rangitikei Club’s annual meeting was run at Marton where Glenvane, who scored in the Rangitikei Hunt Cup Steeplechase, was the principal winner. At the South Canterbury Hunt Club's meeting, the Claremont Handicap was annexed by Settlement, who went to the barrier fifth and seventh favourite. The South Canterbury Steeplechase resulted in a win for Burwood, with Culverden second.
