BOGEY COMPETITION.
RESULTS OF SATURDAY’S PLAY
A bogey competition played on Saturday by members of the Masterton Golf Club resulted as follows: —
A grade: R. Boys, all square; E. B. Booth, C. Campbell Heard, 1 down; W. Percy, W. T. Eiby. 2 down; J. Coom, H. L. Esau, 3 down. B grade: R. Bassett, 1 up; F. C. Stowell, C. C. Cook, 2 down. MAHDNGA CLUB LADIES’ MEDAL COMPETITION. A medal competition was played by the ladies of the Mahunga Club on Saturday, the following being the best scores: —Miss Oliphant, 73 net; Miss Calwell, 74 net; Miss Smith, 75' net; Mrs Hendry, 76 net; Mrs Roach, 78 net; Miss Cummins, 79 net. The following were the best net cards returned for the second qualifying round of the ladies’ trophy competition: —D. A. Hunn, score 79, handicap 14. total 65; V. E. Burridge. 90-20-70; W. W. Hendry, 78-8-70; A. S. McGregor 80-10-70; W. Bodie, 91-20-71; S. Jenkins, 90-18-72; A. O. Jones 90-18-72. In the semi-final of the captain’s trophy competition C. A. Sandbek defeated J. W. Sievers. 2 up. RIVERSIDE CLUB STABLEFORD COMPETITION. The following wore the /best cards handed in for the Stableford rounds played on Saturday:— Ladies: Mrs Naan. 35 points; Mrs Baker, Mrs Hayne, Miss Stalker, 33 points; Mrs Palamontain.
