The friends of Mrs Hartley Senr. will be pleased to hear that she is making a good recovery from her recent illness.
Miss Doyle, of the local Post Office, is on annual leave. During her absence Mr Moorhouse, of Eketahuna. is acting as Postmaster.
Miss G. Edwards, of Palmerston North, spent the weekend in Alfredton. Mr Athol Kilgour will leave at the end of the month, on a tour of the South Sea Islands.
