TE WHITI
JACK HEMI FAREWELLED ENJOYABLE DANCE GATHERING. (“Times-Age” Special.) A farewell dance in honour of Jack Hemi, who is leaving on Thursday as a member of the All Black League football team to tour England and France, was held at Te Whiti Hall on Saturday night. The free bus from Masterton brought a full load of dancers, and there was a largo attendance of patrons from other parts of the district as well.
Under the direction of Mr Lon Pike as M.C.. the proceedings went with a swing, the music being played by Mrs Te Tau and her Melody Makers. The winners of the Monte Carlo waltz were Miss W. Nini and partner and the Te Whiti Cup went to Miss D. Potangaroa and Mr B. Haeata.
