TIENTSIN ISSUE
PRESENTATION OF CONCRETE DEMANDS AT FIRST PLENARY SESSION. BRITISH AND JAPANESE DELEGATES. By Telegraph—P—s Association— Copyright. (Received This Day, 10.25 a.m.) TOKIO, July 23. The Japanese will present concrete demands regarding the Tientsin issue at the first plenary session opening on Monday morning. The British delegates will be Sir Robert Craigie. Major Herbert, Consul General at Tientsin, and MajorGeneral Piggott, Military Attache at Tokio. _ The Japanese representatives will be M Kolah, Minister at large in China, M Tanaka, Consul General at Tientsin, also Major-General Muto, Colonel Kawamura, Lieutenant Colonel Ohta and Major Seiichi. Lieutenant-Colonel Ohta and other military officials were specially recalled from Tientsin. Mr Arita will attend only if necessary. BRITISH REPEAT. ANTICIPATED IN TOKIO. TOKIO. July 23. The British United Press quotes a high Government official associated with the Anglo-Japanese negotiations as saying: "I believe yesterday’s agreement represents the beginning of a British orderly retreat from the Far East.”
