OFFICIAL COMMUNIQUE NO SURPRISE AT PACIFIC PRONOUNCEMENT. TAKEN TO IMPLY GERMAN CHANGE OF PLANS. By Telegraph—Press Association— Copyright LONDON, July 22. An official communique issued in Warsaw states that Poland is not surprised at the pacific pronouncement from Berlin. Such statements usually mean that Germany is considering some change of plans. The communique repeats that any attempt to reincorporate Danzig in the Reich will call for appropriate action. The Polish frontier guards have been instructed to open fire in every instance of frontier violation. The Inspector-General of the British Overseas Forces, General Sir Edmund Ironside, on the eve of his depaittue from Poland, congratulated the Polish army on its excellent training and spirit of preparedness.

STUDENTS ARRESTED

CHARGES OF FRONTIER ‘ TRANSGRESSION.

WARSAW, July 23.

The Danzig police have arrested 10 Polish students, aged from 18 to 22, on charges of frontier transgression. It is claimed that the students were attending a holiday camp, lost their way during an excursion and unwittingly ci’ossed the frontier.
