CAR CONVERTED
TAKEN FROM W.F.C.A. PARKING AREA.
VEHICLE FOUND IN DAMAGED CONDITION.
A sedan car owned by Mr R. N. Clark, farmer, of Matahiwi, was unlawfully taken from the W.F.C.A. parking area on Saturday night. Mr Clark had left the car there while he attended the theatre and on returning at 10.20 p.m. he found it to be missing.
The car, a maroon-painted sedan No. 194-355, was recovered about an hour later in a damaged condition in Colombo Road. The right hand side of the car was fairly extensively damaged, the running board, mudguard and doors on that side having apparently been struck by some object. Later, portion of the running board was picked up near a street pole in Titoki Street, Lansdowne.
