PROPERTY DAMAGE SUIT

WIN FOR VIRGINIA BRUCE. Hollywood is rejoicing over Virginia Bruce winning a decision over her’ landlady in a property damage suit. The blonde star was charged with damaging and ruining furniture, carpets and the house itself while she occupied it. Miss Bruce proved to the Court that she was a good housekeeper as well as a star, and that she left the house in better condition than she found it. This kind of action is pulled against every star who rents a house, and in the past stars have paid up rather than have trouble and bad publicity. But Miss Bruce braved all that because she knew she was right. Today most stars have the condition of rented houses notarised before taking possession.
