DISTEMPER INOCULATION

$ CAMPAIGN IN THE WAIRARAPA. Considerable success has been achieved with the inoculation of dogs against distemper. The campaign is being sponsored by the North Island Sheep Dog Trial Association, which, since the institution of the scheme, has arranged for the inoculation of over 490 dogs. About 90 have been dealt with in the Southern Hawke's Bay and Wairarapa Centre's area. Nominations are now being invited by the latter centre for dogs to be inoculated in October oi' November. Inoculation can be carried out much more economically by handling groups of at least 25 dogs at one time and dog owners are well advised to take advantage of this opportunity. A concession is allowed to members of dog trial clubs. Full particulars are obtainable from the secretary. Mr C. J. Macdonald, Rangitumau.
