CHURCH SERVICES
The Holy Communion will be celebrated tomorrow at St. Matthew s Church at 8 a.m.; at Kuripuni, at 9 a.m., and at Upper Plain at 9 a.m. The Rev. E. J. Rich will be the morningpreacher at St. Matthew’s Church, and the Rev. T. V. Pearson in the evening. Mr V. W. Joblin will conduct the evening service at Kuripuni. At Knox Church tomorrow the morning service will be taken by the Rev. J. M. Simpson, and the evening service by the Rev. John Davie. There will be no service at Kaituna tomorrow. The services at the Salvation Army tomorrow will be conducted by the Songster Brigade under the leadership of Captain Maddison. The members of the Brigade will take part in each service, and will also sing suitable selections during the day. On Sunday, July 30, Major Goffin, the territorial secretary for the Salvation Army Bands in the Dominion, will conduct special services, assisted by the Petone S.A. Band. The monthly musical service in the Methodist Church, which always proves an attractive form of worship, will be held on Sunday evening. The soloists will be Mrs H. Speight and Mr S. H. Ralph (with cello and violin obligato). The choir will render special music. The Rev. Frederick J. Parker will speak on the subject, ’’The Power of Music in the Sanctuary." The morning service will be conducted by Mr Parker.
At the Kuripuni Methodist Church tomorrow the morning service will be conducted by Mr E. Steer. At 6.50 p.m. cars will leave for the town church service.
The Rev. C. J. Mackay, pastor of the Palmerston North Baptist Church, will conduct the morning service of the Masterton Baptists in the Y.M.C.A. Hall tomorrow, at 11 a.m. All interested are cordially invited to attend and worship at this gathering.
