CHILD KILLED
STRUCK BY MOTOR LORRY. FATALITY.IN WELLINGTON. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. A five-year-old girl, Shirley Blackburn, daughter of Mr and Mrs H. C. Blackburn, 12 Buckingham Street, Lyall Bay, was killed instantly when she was struck by a motor-lorry in Queen’s Drive at 2.45 p.m. yesterday. The lorry was loaded with three yards of gravel. The child received very severe head injuries, a wheel apparently passing over her.
