(Received This Day. 11.0 a.m.) BERLIN, July 18.

As the result of an explosion on the German liner Berlin, when she was fifteen miles from Swinem'unde, fifteen persons were killed and eighteen injured. The explosion is believed to have been due to oil leaking into a steam container in the boiler room. Six of those injured were taken to hospital and their condition is regarded as dangerous.
