WITNESS AND AFFIDAVIT.

At the trial of Harry Bridges, a witness named Leech was faced with an affidavit he made in 1937 declaring that he had been offered money to link Bridges with Communist Party activities, and denying that he had knowledge that Bridges was a member of the Communist Party. He declared that he was compelled to sign the document, fearing for the safety of himself and his family.
