DOUBLE WIN FOR HOME TEAM

(“Times-Age” Special.)

Greytown and Featherston met on Saturday afternoon for the annual golf match. Greytown A won by 3 games, with one all square, and Greytown B by 3 games to 1. In the A grade match the results were: J. C. Feast and B. Kiernan beat G. O’Neale and J. Wilson; H. W. Feast and F. C. Bunny and W. Fountain and H. Bloxam, all square; H. R. Feast and T. R. Ingley beat T. Laing and G. Hobey; : E. Maddison and T. Nelson beat Hearfield and W. Jeffrey. The results in the B grade game were: E. Feast and C. Stunell beat J. McCallum and H. McCarty; J. Card and D. Howells beat J. W. Tate and H. G. Carter; McLeod and A. Rhodes beat J. Davis and L. Benton; A. Carter and Ray Ingley beat H. Lawson and H. Lovegrove.

A Hole in One

Playing against Greytown on Saturday on the Featherston links J. McCallum did a hole in one at "The Wrecker.” 135 yards. This is the second time Mr McCallum has holed in one. This feat was honoured in the manner usual amongst golfers.
