BLOMFIELD DISQUALIFIED

AUCKLAND. July 16
A wrestling contest at the Town Hall on Saturday night between Lofty Blomfield, Auckland, and “King Kong" Cox, America, ended in a win for the latter, Blomfield being disqualified in the seventh round for punching. Before that each man had obtained a fall. Cox led the way with a fall in the second round with a body press following a succession of forearm jolts in the region of the kidneys. Blomficld evened the falls in the fifth round by moans of a step-over toehold. WIN FOR KIRCHMEYER. NEW PLYMOUTH. July 16. Wild exchanges and showmanship marked a wrestling bout on Saturday night before Rollend Kirchmeyer incapacitated Frank Forster in the sixth round. Forster had gained a fall in the fourth with a flying body scissors and press after a series of rabbit killers.. A DRAWN BOUT. GREYMOUTH. July 16. The wrestlers Boesch and Jones drew in an interesting -bout before a large attendance on Saturday night. Jones got a fall with a hook figurefour body scissors in the fifth round and Boesch equallised in the eighth round after dropkicks with a double leg hold.
