LOCAL TEAMS SUCCESSFUL

Teams from the Greytown District High School visited Featherston yesterday and were dclet ted by the local school teams. The results were: Basketball: A gra ie, Featherston, 9; Gmytown 7; B grade, Featherston 14, Greytown 1. Football: Featherston 8, Greytown 6. Returned Soldiers’ Ball. Arrangements for the Returned Soldiers’ "Ball which will be held in the Anzac Hall in Thursday night have been completed. Udy’s orchestra will supply the music for the dancing while Te Tau’s orchestra will play the supper extras. The floor is in splendid order and the supper promises to be on a liberal scale. Personal. Mrs J. Anderson, who underwent a serious operation in Greytown Hospital last week, is reported to be making satisfactory progress towards recovery.
