SALVATION ARMY

SPECIAL WEEKEND SERVICES. Cadets of the present session in the Salvation Army Training College, Wellington, known as the Dauntless Evangelists are to visit Masterton during the coming weekend, in connection with a great spiritual siege that is being made upon the town in the way of a special series of s&rvices. These services will be conducted by Brigadier Sydney Smith, the Training College Principal. The Dauntless Evangelists are 34 young men and women who have offered themselves to be trained as Salvation Army officers, and who have come from all parts of the Dominion. A series of open-air gatherings wili be held all over the town, commencing on Saturday afternoon and finishing up in Queen Street on Sunday night at G p.m. In connection with these services a Grand Musical Evening wil be given by the party in the Army Citadel next Saturday night at 8 p.m., interpersed with "hot Gospel shots" by the cadets. The idea behind these events, as arranged by Major Mahaffie. the com- - manding officer in Masterton, is that of toning up the spiritual life of Masterton. Brigadier Sydney Smith, in conducting these special services, will be ably supported by the officers of the Training College stall. All are heartily invited to join with the Army in these events.
