BRITISH OFFICIAL ARRIVES BY AWATEA.
TRIP OF TWELVE DAYS FROM ENGLAND.

Mr C. M. Bruce, C. 8., 0.8. E.. formerly Assistant-Secretary to the British Admiralty, who retired about three and , a half years ago, arrived today by the Awatea to take part in an inquiry into conditions in the New Zealand Navy. He flew out to Australia by a Dutch air liner, caught the Awatea and was only twelve days altogether on the way.
