4 CHAMPIONSHIP AT WANGANUI. TITLE TO D. W. DAVISON. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WANGANUI. July 9. The New Zealand Gun Club championships were continued in unfavourable weather on Saturday when the Dominion clay target titles were decided. There were 102 competitors, a record in New Zealand trap shooting. No possibles were recorded in the shooting at the 21 targets, but the following broke 20 birds: D. W. Davison (Culverden), T. L. Joblin (Morere), F. E. Cox (Taumarunui) and C. Wilber (Morrinsville). These four divided the prize money of £67 10s and shot off for the championship at five birds. Davison was the only one to break fivebirds and he secured the title and the trophy. Cox was runner-up. The Minister of Internal Affairs. Mr Parry, who was a competitor, presented the prizes. In the evening the annual meeting of the New Zealand Gun Clubs' Association was held, when the following officers were elected:—President. Mr R. S. Taylor (Christchurch); North Island referee. Mr W.
