TIENTSIN BLOCKADE
NOT BEING RELAXED DURING NEGOTIATIONS. ACCORDING TO JAPANESE ■ COMMANDER. SHANGHAI, July 5. . General Suigyata. the commander-in-chief in North China, announced in Tientsin that the blockade is not being relaxed despite the Tokio negotiations. The British Ambassador, Sir Robert Craigie, stated in Tokio that Britain is entering the negotiations in the Tientsin dispute on the assumption that the indignities are discontinued. The Japanese naval authorities announced the last chance for Britons to leave Foochow and Wenchow would be today, when booms would be placed on the Min and Wu Rivers, but the Britons are determined to "stay in the ports.
