“MY LUCKY TURNS”
ART UNION DRAWN. FIRST PRIZE GOES TO CHRISTCHURCH. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. First prize of £2OOO in the “My Luck Turns’’ art union, which was drawn last night in the Masonic Hall, Wellington, went to “Two Drunkards,’’ 501 A, Colombo Street. Christchurch, The second prize of £lOOO was won by a Wellington ticket-holder, “Any Try.’’ Wellington also won the third prize of £5OO and the seventh prize of £lOO went to Ngaio. Mr J. Hutchins represented the Internal Affairs Department at the drawing and Sergeant G. S. Norris the police. The prize list is as follows:— First Prize, £2OOO. 193662, “Two Drunkards,” 501 A Colombo Street, Christchurch. Second Prize, £lOOO. 89589, “Any Try.” Wellington. Third Prize, £5OO. 89752, blank Wellington butt. Fourth Prize, £4OO. 138G33, “No Name,” Christchurch. Fifth Prize, £3OO. 10728, “Mum’s Birthday,” Runciman. Sixth Prize, £2OO. 103744, “About Time,” Christchurch. Seventh Prize, £lOO. 88393, “The Wrong Way,” Ngaio. Five pound prizes were won by Mrs C. Noble (Featherston), J. Davis. Newman Road, Eketahuna, and “Your Turn,” Eketahuna.
