Deliveries of Australian butter were 1804 tons, the quantity in store being 4725 tons, as against 5259 tons a year ago. The cheese market was steady last week, Friday’s closing quotations, with those of the previous week in parentheses, being as follows: — New Zealand, white, 64s 6d to 65s (63s to 655; a year ago, 68s to 68s 6d); coloured, 67s (66s to 675; a year ago, 68s to 68s 6d).

Australian, white, 60s to 62s (59s to 61s); coloured, 62s to 64s (60s to 625). Canadian, white and coloured, 72s to 73s (71s to 725); c.i.f., 67s (68s to 70s). The retail price of New Zealand cheese was unchanged at 7d a lb. Deliveries of New Zealand cheese from store last week were 15,570 crates the quantity in store being 103,273 crates, as against 71,048 crates a year ago. Deliveries of Canadian cheese were 3971 boxes, the quantity in store being 76,758 boxes, as against 67,472 boxes a year ago. Cheese gradings in New Zealand for the week ended June 24, were 1476 crates of white, and 967 crates of coloured. a total of 2443 crates.
