MAN STRUCK BY BUS. A HIGHWAY TRAGEDY. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) DARGAVILLE. July 3. A tragedy occurred this morning on the new main .highway between l\laungaturoto and Whangaroi, when a Public Works Department employee, Mr Paddy Dally, aged about 56. was killed instantly. The accident occurred at about 11 o‘clock near Smelling's Camp, about five miles from Maungaturoto, where Mr Dally was working on the road. A bus travelling toward Auckland approached as Mr Dally was working and it is understood that Mr Dally received a fright, and a second or two later was struck by the bus. He received severe head injuries, and died immediately.
