Mrs W. H. Saunders, of Masterton, is a visitor to Wellington. Miss B. Lawson, of Kimbolton, is on a week’s motor tour of the Wairarapa. Mr and Mrs W. Duguid. of Levin, are the guests of Miss I. McKenzie, Renall Street, Masterton. Mrs L. A. Denton, Hastings, is visiting her sister, Miss Daniell, Albert Street. Misses M. and M. A. Brown, of Church Street, Masterton, are spending a holiday at Paraparaumu Beach. Mr and JVlrs C. Hercock of Nireaha, are on a motor tour of the North Island. A holiday is being spent in the Rotorua district by Mrs G. Brown of Nireaha. Mrs Wilfred J. Thomas, Victoria Road, Carterton is visiting relatives in Auckland. Mrs D. Gustofsen, of Eketahuna, is on a holiday, which will be spent in Carterton and Wellington. Mr and Mrs J. L. Harris, Victoria Street, Carterton, who have been spending a holiday in Napier, have returned home. Miss Nelle Scanlan, the New Zealand authoress, is visiting Hastings, and will speak at an English-Speaking Union luncheon there today. The death occurred on Sunday at Pahiatua of a very old and well-known resident of that town at the age of 89 years in the person of Miss Marion Reese.
