In connection with the Martinborough Miniature Rifle Club’s weekly competition the best scores registered were as' follows: — Seniors: Miss Broughton, score 70, handicap 5, total 70; D. Flynn 70, 1, 70; C. Pickering 68, 2, 70; S. Harvey 67, 3, 70; Mrs Boyd 67, 5, 70; E. Findlay 68, 5, 70; S. Davidson 66, 4, 70; Mrs Wilson 66, 4, 70; Mrs Davidson 66, 5, 70; Miss Smith 66, 7, 70; W. Bain 66, 5, 70; Mrs Dempsey 69, 3, 70. Juniors: M. Marflitt, score 65, handicap 5, total 70; C. Skill 60, 6, 66; J. Turner 62, 3, 65. The weekly button was won by Miss Pressing with a score of 77. Mr Wylie, of Warkworth, North Auckland, who was a delegate to the Farmers’ Conference held in Wellington, is visiting Martinborough where he used to reside some twenty years ago. He is accompanied by his eldest son. Mr F. Dunham is at present spending his annual holiday in Martinborough. Mr and Mrs G. Brassell, Junr., have returned home after a tour of ' the north.
