FEATHERSTON
YOUNG FARMERS’ CLUB MONTHLY MEETING OF MEMBERS ("Times-Age” Special.) The monthly meeting of the Featherston Young Farmers’ Club was held in the Wairarapa Racing Club’s Room when the chairman, Mr D. McKenna, presided over a fair attendance of members. A challenge was received from the Masterton Club to a debate on the subject, "Does the Dairy Farm Need More Managerial Ability Than a Sheep Farm.” The following team was selected to represent the Featherston Club: L. Nix, R. Pillar and M. Benton. ' Several accounts were passed for payment. The question of holding a ball was again discussed and decision left over till the next meeting. The chairman gave an interesting description of the Wairarapa Young Farmers’ trip through the South Island, showing many interesting camera studies. He was accorded a warm vote of thanks for his instructive talk. interhouse Games, The interhouse game played yesterday afternoon by the District High and Primary Schools resulted as follows: — Basketball: Konini A beat Rata; Kowhai A beat Nikau; Rata B beat Konini; Nikau B and Kowhai drew. Football: Konini A beat Rata; Kowhai beat Nikau. z Personal Items. Mrs H. Squire, Dunedin, is visiting Mr and Mrs J. Brydon, Tauherenikau. Mrs Foss, South Featherston, is spending a short holiday in Takapau. ’ The death occurred at Wellington yesterday of Mr William Henry Collins, son of the late Mr and Mrs William Collins, of Featherston.
