Commonwealth immigration officials will carry out a departmental inquiry before Ledwedge Vincent Lawlor will be permitted to land in Australia. If his period of residence in Australia was 15 to 20 years, however, it is believed that the immigration authorities could not prohibit his landing in Australia.
