“THE MIKADO” IN SYDNEY
WILD ENTHUSIASM. The recent premiere screening of Gilbert and Sullivan’s “The Mikado” in Sydney’s Largest theatre, the State, was respon-sible for scenes of wild enthusiasm, the audience applauding during the presentation and at the termination of the show. A cable from Sydney skates, that the first week’s receipts totalled well over £4,000.
