MAURICEVILLE

TABLE TENNIS CLUB MEETING OF COMMITTEE. (“Times-Age” Special.) The committee of the Mauriceville Table Tennis Club held a meeting before the practice on Tuesday evening. Miss E. Wilkin was elected to the committee to fill the vacancy caused by the departure of Mrs Jermy from Mauriceville. -t A challenge was received from a club in Wanganui which was accepted and will be played at Mauriceville next Tuesday, July 4. The visiting team will be a strong one and the players selected for this match should gain experience from meeting these players. The following is the local team: — Messrs G. Fraser, F. Morrell, Q. McGovern and H. Milner. The B. grade players to play in the association competition in the Dixon Street Hall, Masterton, on Monday are:—Miss M. Kenny, Messrs N. McGovern, H. Duffy and P. Condon. Personal Items. Messrs H. Myers and O. H. Nikolaison are attending the National Dairy Conference in Wellington. Mesdames Myers and Nikolaison are also visiting Wellington. Mr G. McWhirter, who has been first assistant to the Mauriceville Dairy Company for the past six years, has been appointed manager to the Eketahuna Dairy Company. He will take over his new duties on August 1. Mr and Mrs A. Clements are spending their annual holidays in the Taranaki district.
