MAGISTRATE’S COURT
SITTING IN MASTERTON MOTOR DRIVERS FINED. FAILURE TO CARRY WARRANTS AND LICENCES. . Mr H. P. Lawry,, S.M.. presided over the fortnightly sitting of the Masterton Court today. William Hugh Long was charged with having sold tripe that did not comply with the standard required. He pleaded guilty and was ordered to pay 10s costs and analysts’ costs 10s 6d. For having driven an unlicenced motor car in Queen Street, Masterton, George Edwin Percy Champion was fined £1 and 10s costs. For having driven a motor ear without holding a driver’s licence Champion was fined 5s and 10s costs. Charged with having failed to keep as close to the left as practicable on the Opaki Road on May 26, Basil Howard Gray was fined £2 an(J 15s costs. For having failed to carry a warrant of fitness in his car lan Thomas Shaw was fined £1 10s and 12s costs. Because he carried on a goods service between Te Whanga and Masterton without having the necessary licence, Thomas O’Connor was fined £2 and 10s costs. Harry Thompson, charged with having ridden a bicycle without a light was fined 10s and 10s costs. </ Margaret McAnulty, who failed to carry in her car a warrant of fitness, was fined 5s and 12s costs. On similar charges, G. H. Pike was fined £1 and 10s costs, John A. McKay 10s and 10s costs and James Charles McAnulty 5s and 12s costs. Becausg. he drove his car in Queen Street, Masterton, when he was not the holder of a current motor driver’s licence, Arthur Harrington Atack was fined 10s and 10s costs. For having driven a motor car without having a license, Ronald J. Sinclair was fined 10s and costs 12s. Samuel Sturgess, charged with having driven a motor truck and not being the holder of a motor driver's license, was fined 10s and costs 10s.
Charged with having driven a motor car and not being the holder of a motor driver’s license, George Gray was fined 10s and 10s costs. For having driven a car at a time when she was not the holder of a current motor-driver’s license, Mrs H. I. Cameron was fined 10s and 12s costs. E. Fleet, charged with having driven a motor* truck in High Street, Masterton without holding a driver’s license was fined 10s and costs 10s. For having driven an unlicensed motor car William Isaac Nation was fined £1 and 10s costs. Nation was further charged with having driven a motor car without a driver's license and was fined 5s and 10s costs. Gabriel Joseph, charged with having driven a motor car in High Street, Masterton, without being the holder of a driver’s license was fined 10s and 10s costs. CIVIL CLAIMS. Judgment for plaintiff by default was given in the following undefended civil claims in the Masterton Court today by Mr H. P. Lawry, S.M.:— J. Kelly Ltd. v. John Adams. Ils 4d, costs 19s; H. A. R. Dunderdale v. John D. Gray, £l5, costs £2 15s; Mary Jane Stevens v. William John Workman, £3 12s 6d. costs £1 3s 6d; J. C. Forsyth v. S. Suckling, £5 10s. costs 15s 6d. On a judgment summons R. W. Fellingham was ordered to pay A. H. Krahagen and Co. (Carterton). £2 12s. in default 3 days’ imprisonment in Wellington Prison.
