DUKE & DUCHESS OF WINDSOR RUMOUR OF SETTLING DOWN IN ENGLAND. NO CONFIRMATION AT PALACE. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received This Day. 9.20 a.m.) LONDON. June 27. Buckingham Palace is unable to confirm a rumour that the Duke and Duchess of Windsor will shortly be settling down in England. The Duke of Windsor informed the Paris correspondent of Reuters that he had no definite plans after the summer. which was being spent in residence in the South of France. STORY DENIED SHORT VISIT POSSIBLE. (Received This Day, 10.45 a.m.) LONDON. June 27. According to a Paris message, the Duke of Windsor denied the “Evening Standard's" story about his settling in England, but admitted that it was possible that he and the Duchess may make a short visit.
