PERSONAL ITEMS ("Times-Age” Special.) Mr and Mrs V. Saunders, who are at present in Rotorua, expect to return shortly, when Mr Saunders will enter one of the local hospitals for further treatment. A wedding of interest to Maoris in the Wairarapa will be solemnised at Te Awamutu this week, when Billie, only daughter of the Rev. and Mrs Kokiri is to be married to Mr McGrath. The bride-to-be is a niece of the late Mr James Carroll and granddaughter of the late Major Brown, and is well known in the Wairarapa, her parents having been residents of Carterton for a number of years.

Mr Frank Busch, a member of the Martinborough junior team, suffered concussion and two broken ribs in the match against Featherston on Saturday. Mr Wha Piripi was admitted to hospital on Saturday. Attention is drawn to the Women’s Institute Ball which is being held this evening in the Memorial Hall. Dancers' should not miss this opportunity of spending an enjoyable evening.
