RUGBY AND BASKETBALL.
MATCHES IN MASTERTON TOMORROW.
Basketball and Rugby matches between Wairarapa College and the Palmerston North Technical High School will be played on the Wairarapa College grounds tomorrow afternoon. The basketball match, which will be between the first representative teams of both schools, will commence at 2.45 p.m. and the Rugby match, between Wairarapa College’s second fifteen and the visitors' first fifteen, will start at 3.0 p.m. The Wairarapa College first fifteen will leave for Napier on Thursday to play the Napier Boys' High School on Friday. Wairarapa College basketball team: —Pat Baskiville (captain), Doreen Dagg, Irene Shoosmith, Margaret McLaren, Elizabeth McLaren, Joan Russell, Maureen Carroll (vice-captain), Connie Shearer, Katherine Ross. Emergencies: Rewa Sharp, Dora Hathaway, Nola Wilson. Palmerston North basketball team: —Goal, Joyce Berkahn, Phyllis Gray, Joan Astwood; centre, Maureen Bevan (captain), Waitohi Te Awe Awe, Joan Sciascia; defence, Noreen Siddells (vice-captain), Essie Henderson, Fay Norris. Emergency: Rona Killington.
