GIFTS FOR PRINCESSES

MODELS FROM WORLD’S FAIR. GENEROUS AMERICAN ACTION. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright NEW YORK. June 25. During the visit of their Majesties to the World’s Fair on June 10 the Queen was overheard to remark to the King. "I wish the children could see all this!” Mrs Grover Whalen, wife of the president of the fair, promptly set about getting as much of the fair as possible to the Princesses. She gathered the most complete collection of World Fair mementoes ever assembled. It comprises 1200 articles, including miniature reproductions of many exhibits, a model of a train in which their Majesties rode, and models of ships with sails unfurled signifying the Anglo-American friendship.

It is understood the Princesses will receive the gifts al a party which will be specially arranged in Buckingham Palace.
