SHEEPOWNERS’ PROBLEMS

MEETING IN MASTERTON TOMORROW.

The formation of a co-operative meat pool and the proposed extension of the guaranteed price scheme to meat and wool will be discussed by a mass meeting of sheepowners to be held in the Masterton Opera House tomorrow afternoon, commencing at 2 o’clock. The meeting has been convened by Mr Hugh Morrison, president of the Wairarapa Provincial Executive of the Farmers’ Union and by Mr A. McDonald, president of the Wairarapa Sheepowners’ Federation. A special invitation is being extended to members of Young Farmers’ clubs to attend.
