MASTERTON GUN CLUB
CLAY BIRD SHOOTING. WIN FOR J. GALLAGHER. Another successful shoot was held at the weekend by the Masterton Gun Club when a gpod attendance of members and friends were present. Although conditions were ideal shooting on the whole was only fair. J. Gallagher, an old member of the club, struck form and was the only A grade shooter who got a possible. The only other possible was recorded by a B grade shooter, R. Walker, who broke all his clays in a very convincing man • ner.
The following are some of the leading scores:—J. Gallagher (14) 18, H. K. Smith (17) 17, R. J. King (17) 16, C. E. Grey (17) 16, D. McKenzie (16) 16, G. Bretherston (17) 16. Several other shooters recording breaks from 14 to 12. « B grade: R. Walker (12) 18, L. Ray - ner (11) 17, L. Liddington (11) 16, R. Cameron (11) 15, N. Swanson (11) 15. Four other shooters took part. Five track system: In this shoot four A grade men shot the possible, H. K. Smith, R. J. King, D. McKenzie and J. W. McKenzie. T. Skippage and A. Macalister dropped one each. In the B grade F. Allen and G. Vincent tied, each dropping one. Double rise: In this event L, Rayner and T. Skippage tied and divided the prize.
