“MYSTERY OF MR. WONG.” The thrilling story of a fatal jewel and three murders is Monogram’s exciting "The Mystery of Mr Wong,” which will be finally shown at the Cosy Theatre tonight. “NORTH OF NOME.” The Arctic wastes of Alaska provide the virile background for the gripping Columbia picture, “North of Nome,” which will be shown tomorrow night at the Cosy Theatre. It is a film for people who like their entertainment dramatic, and who do not complain if it makes their heart beat just a bit faster. Thrills it has, and a' story that is something new under the sun. A tale of seal poachers and hijackers in a country where might is right, it seems to call for an actor like Jack Holt. Holt, in the starring role, | once more proves his acting prowess; his portrayal is strong and intelligent. Evelyn Venable, Guinn “Big Boy” Williams, John Miljan, Roger Imhoff and others bring their respective characters to life in fine fashion, giving splendid assistance to the dependable Holt. “North of Nome” deals with a seal poacher, John Raglan by name, who is being hounded by a vicious hi-jacker, Haage, long his bitter enemy. Raglan, in an effort to shake Haage, strands himself on one of the corporation-owned islands to which he has come to hunt seals. Raglan has no recource to law, for he is doing his hunting illegally. The second attraction, “Craig’s Wife,” is a heart story which will make a decided appeal. In it are featured Rosalind Russell, John and Billie Burke.
