A masterly innings of 106 by Headley saved West Indies from disgrace on the first day of the cricket Test match against England today, the side being dismissed for 277. West Indies owed everything to, Headley's chanceless strike and his fine second-wicket stand of 118 with Stoll ■■ meyer. The score at lunch was one for 95 and at tea four for 226.
