MEETING OF SHEEPOWNERS

GATHERING IN OPERA HOUSE ON WEDNESDAY. MEAT POOL AND GUARANTEED PRICE. The mass meeting of sheepowners, called by Mr Hugh Morrison, president of the Wairarapa Provincial Executive of the Farmers Union and Mr A. McDonald, president of the Wairarapa Sheepowners’ Federation, for Wednesday next at 2 p.m. will now be held in the Masterton Opera House instead of the Municipal Social Hall. The meeting will discuss the formation of a cooperative meat pool and the invitation of the Prime Minister for a guaranteed price for meat and wool. A special invitation is extended to members of Young Farmers Clubs to attend and to occupy the front seats, so as to be handy to give assistance if a poll is taken.
