INDOOR BOWLS
MASTERTON CLUB. PAIRS COMPETITION NEARLY COMPLETED. The Masterton' Indoor Bowling Club’s pairs competition is nearing completion and competition will be very keen to displace Jansen and Stains (s) from the leadership in the A section. This pair is still unbeaten. The B section is more open, three pairs having one loss each. The following are the fixtures for this week: —Tuesday. 7 p.m. —No. 1. Wenham v Lewis, No. 2 Ferguson v Grantham. 8 p.m., No. I—Stains1 —Stains v Dixon, No, 2, Moore v Wilder. 9 p.m., No. I—Walker1 —Walker v Pickering, No. 2, Finlayson v Joyce. . On Wednesday the club will entertain four rinks from Carterton and members are .urged to be present. Thursday, 7 p.m.—No. 1, Leigh v Finlayson, No. 2, Nuttall v Pickering. 8 p.m.. No. 1, Moore v Stains, No. 2, Ferguson v Roff. 9 p.m., No. 1, Edwards v Fenton, No. 2, Hendry v Dixon.
The progressive pairs competition will be commenced shortly, and any member not wishing to participate, should notify the secretary; also anj’ member not playing in the pairs competition may be included if they desire.
