GOLF COUNCIL
MATCHES WITH AUSTRALIA. ANNUAL FIXTURES DESIRED. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. It has been made clear to the New Zealand Golf Council that there is no chance of the Kirk-Windeyer Cup being played for again. The council this week considered the suggestion of an annual match with a team representative of Australia—a man from each of four States —and the Australian Golf Union is being communicated with. The New Zealand Council is sending a definite suggestion, with the earnest hope that such matches, if inaugurated, will be continuous, and not merely for a year or two.
