CANADIAN PARTICIPATION SUGGESTED. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright CANTON (New York), June 2). Senator Thomas (Utah), addressing the Canadian-American Conference, suggested that Canada should become a party to the United States' PanAmerican treaties. “Whether Canada likes it or not is not the question, but America’s defence in the Pacific includes of necessity defence of the Canadian coastline." he said. “Canada, of course, accepts the friendship and security of these treaties and benefits indirectly from the deliberations- of the Pan-American Union.”
