KIATERE HARRIERS

SATURDAY'S TRAINING RUN. In preparation for the first Turnbull Cup race on July 1, members of the Kiatere Harrier Club will hold a friendly training run from the Showgrounds on Saturday. As the race with the Olympic Club is easily the hardest in the Club’s programme, all seniors will be out to make the most of the sho'rt time available, and Saturday’s run will be in the nature of a good solid 5 or 6 miles. Junior members will also take part in a training run over a distance of about 2| miles. This section of the club has exceeded all expectations in its keenness for the sport and to help toward this end it is hoped to be able to arrange a race against the Olympic colts. All arrangements for the dance on Saturday evening in the Arcade Hall have been completed, and with Barnes's Rhythm Boys to provide the music and the usual popular prices, a thoroughly enjoyable evening is promised.
