BORROWING PROGRAMME. LARGEST SINCE DEPRESSION. By Telegraph—Press Association— Copyright. (Received This Day. 10.40 a.m.) CANBERRA. This Day. The Loan Council tentatively agreed to a loan programme of £41,000.000 for the next financial year. This is a larger amount than for any year since the depression. It is likely that proposals will be made for an expansion of credit to offset the loss of national income caused by the low prices of export commodities.
