RECALL OF CONSUL=GENERAL REQUESTED FOLLOWING ON REINHARDT EPISODc. ALLEGATION OF IDENTICAL GROUNDS. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received This Day. 9.20 a.m.) BERLIN, June 21. Germany has requested Britain to recall Mr Donald St Clair Gainer, British Consul-General at Vienna, as retaliation for Herr Reinhardt’s expulsion from Liverpool. The German Government states that the reasons are identical with those leading to Herr Reinhardt’s recall. The British Government asked for the recall of Herr Reinhardt, former German Consul at Liverpool, on the ground that Court proceedings showed ■ him to be implicated in the sale of military secrets.
